Disney World Trip 2010

As you all know I was in Disney World last week with LEEP. It was the first time away from Maddox BUT it was a jam packed week full of lots of Disney fun!

We took off Sunday morning at 8:00 am and took off running when we landed in sunny Florida. First stop, Pop Century Resort where our group called "home" for the week. The nice thing about staying on Disney property is that you don't have to worry about your luggage once you get it through airport security. We said good bye to our bags in MN and didn't see them again till we came back from EPCOT that night- VERY NICE!

Since we landed at noon Sunday we headed out and saw what we could at the EPCOT Center. Personally this is probably my least favorite park to visit but we still seemed to find a few fun things to check out. We spent the most time at the visiting "The Seas with Nemo and Friends" where we saw a fun show, lots of sea life, and had our pictures taken in some photo spots.

Our 2nd day was spent hanging out at a group favorite: the Magic Kingdom. Everyone that tried Space Mountain loved it and had so much fun they tried it twice. We checked out several other rides, watched "Mickey's PhilarMagic" 3D show (another group favorite!), drove the race cars, and so much more.

All 6 of us really enjoyed our time there and finished the evening with the Spectramagic Parade and fireworks. Finally it was time to call it a night and get ready for the morning.

On Tuesday we visited the Animal Kingdom. Not my personal favorite however, my group LOVED it! Don't get me wrong though, I absolutely adore being able to see some of my favorite animals up close and personal. Can you find what is hiding in this picture? I'll give you a hint, it is really tall and has a LOOOOONNNNNG neck!

Wednesday we wrapped our vacation by visiting Disney's Hollywood Studios. Part of the group wanted to check out the Tower of Terror (my personal favorite!), Rockin' Roller coaster, the Beauty and the Beast show, and took part in the "American Idol Experience" (SO COOL!). Many of the group members mentioned how much they enjoyed that park the best.

Our group got up, got ready, and headed out around 9:00 on Thursday headed back to Minnesota. After some flight headaches we finally made it back to Minneapolis around 4:00, grabbed a quick bite, and drove back to Mankato. All in all the trip was pretty successful and I think everyone had a good time.
