Bachelorette Adventure

Last weekend my sister, Ali, got home just in time for us to surprise her with a weekend just for her. She and her fiance Trent drove through the night from DC to Iowa Thursday into Friday and we stole her for the weekend!

Friday night my mom and sister kidnapped Ali and headed to Mankato. The goal was not to tell her anything and just have her show up at the hotel. We had a surprise waiting and her Godmother/friend Barb was waiting for her. What she didn't know is that the surprise didn't end there and our fun was just beginning!

Saturday morning we got up and pretended that we were going to just do a little shopping.... Not the case at all! We had actually planned a spa day for all 5 of us so off to the spa we went for an all out girls day. Manicures, pedicures, 1/2 hour massages, shampoo/style, AND makeup, quite the treat for all involved. After our beauty fest we did do a little shopping and tried do our best to throw her off of the biggest surprise YET!

We had been planning a party all along back in Armstrong with a few friends and family members. Ali had always said she didn't want anything too crazy so we kept it pretty low key. We played a few games, enjoyed a few drinks, and opened gifts. I would say she is more than set with her wedding night wardrobe!

Here is one of my favorite parts of the night. We had interviewed Trent prior to the night and for every right answer she was supposed to get a balloon tied in her hair. by the end of the night she had quite a few, which in retrospect, is a good thing! usually it is wrong answers that you tie balloons in your hair but she was TOO good!

Ali with a 'few' of her balloons tied in her hair.... going to the bathroom was a challenge but I thought a worthy one considering next weekend she will be dealing with a wedding dress!

So, her sisters may have thought this would be a really funny gift since we know she was mortified we would even consider buying them!

Trent's Mom thought they needed to get started on grand babies :)
Before the night came to a close we headed over to the local bar and enjoyed a few drinks. Our dad and some of his friends came a long and joined us in the fun. Not all brides can say their dad was at their bachelorette party!
Ali, Brittany, Dad, and Me

I think my dad had a great time..... Not all dad's can pull off this look but I think mine does it pretty well!

It sounds like my sister was pleasantly 'surprised' for most of the adventure which definitely made it all worth it in the end.
