Many people have asked how we came up with Maddox's name so I thought I would just write about it!
When we headed into the hospital on Sunday night, Justin and I thought we had decided on names for a boy or girl...... As we were sitting there Justin mentioned that he wasn't sure he liked the boy's name that we had chosen and wanted to pick a different one. Let me just say I was a little annoyed because I wasn't prepared for a name change and I had wanted this done MONTHS ago! Anyway, JR began looking up names on the net and we picked about 7 and narrowed it down from there.
Justin really liked the Maddox and I liked it too so that is how we decided it. He had always wanted to name a boy Max but I wasn't thrilled with it. I wanted a more "professional" name so when Maddox was suggested that worked for me. We will be calling him Maddox but Max works as a nice nickname too.
I love the name Maddox. If Maeci was a boy Maddox was in our top 3 names!
ReplyDeleteOh yeah and about a week before Maeci was born we were thinking of a different name for her even though I had already bought the letters for her wall and hung them. Then driving to the hospital we went through it again wondering if we should change the name!! :)
